Dublin is experiencing snow, freezing fog, polar winds, hail, temperatures down to minus 8 Celsius, and other conditions more common to the Arctic - which all make for some good photos. Here's some of Grand Canal and Portobello from 1st January and from last night - click on any of them to get to lots more:
People were still using the Dublin Bikes, I noticed the number of bikes fluctuating throughout the day:
Ice formed right up to and within Portobello lock:
The canal was frozen and snowed over across from the barracks:
Shadows and ice:
Seemed as if all the swans on the canal had gathered in the one area that wasn't frozen, near Harold's Cross bridge:
Made for some beautiful and eerie snowscapes:

Fantastic photos! Looks like I'm missing the most interesting winter we've ever had (in my lifetime at least).
